Frequently
Asked Questions
WHAT IS A MICROCIHIP ?

A Microchip is a small capsule that is around the size of a grain of
rice. It carries a unique identification number and is made of an inert
material so it won’t be rejected by your pet’s body.
HOW IS IT IMPLANTED?
In the case of cats, dogs, rabbits and ferrets the microchip is implanted in
the scruff of the neck using a special pre-packed sterile needle. The chip is
deposited into the fatty area between the shoulder blades
WILL IT HURT?
Your pet will feel no more discomfort than with a conventional injection.
WHAT IF I MOVE HOUSE?
Not a problem. Information such as changes of address can easily be updated via
Petlog's website
MY PET DOESN'T GO OUT, IT WON'T NEED A CHIP, WILL IT?
Even though your pet may not go out, it is still important to microchip. What
would happen if he/she DID get out?

afield, which will be quoted on request.
